They grow up soooo fast!
McKenzie had her first Soccer lesson outside last Saturday. We have her involved in 2 different soccer clubs. One is on Thursday and one on Saturday. The Thursday lesson will always be indoors and Saturday's lesson will depend on the weather. She had so much fun. We were surprised that she actually started listening to directions once they gave her the ball. More layouts to follow for this one. I think there will be many soccer pictures in the future.
This layout was a challenge at GottaPixel (Inspiration from an advertisement) and also the title is from a Lyrical challenge (Super Woman by Alicia Keys) at Scrap Outside The Box. It came together very nicely. The kit is Imagine, Dream, Believe by Patty at Scrap Outside The Box. Colin is definitely the Better Part of Me. He is so mellow (most of the time). I get upset about everything LOL!!
Scrapbook Expo was another challenge about serenity. This is when I am most relaxed. Thanks to Lisa Majewski's Quickpage from her kit Bouncy. (by the way the Quickpage is available on her blog). List of blogs on my blog. Go check it out!
Well now that I'm done showing off layouts, I can tell you about the happenings at home. We are in the process of remodeling one side of a duplex that we will be moving into the first of June. Woohoo!! I'm so excited. Right now we live in a 2 bed 2 bath apartment. The duplex is 4 bed 3 bath with tons of room. I can finally move the baby into his own room. No more waking up at every little sound. Now he will have to wail in order for me to hear him (no such luck I still have the Mom ear) LOL!! The kids will have their own playroom and I will plenty of room to scrap!
Tim has been busy working at the hospital and also helping with the remodel. He is tired but I think he is really excited too. We are both looking forward to being able to move around again.
I have a ton of layouts planned for this month. I am really enjoying doing different challenges at different sites. I love the inspiration and I have a ton of pictures to work with having both the kids. (Can't help but take lots of pictures)
Hope everyone is doing well and I will talk to you all soon.

Driving
I loved this photo and Tim had been asking me to put a road as a backdrop!!
It turned out cute! Take a look..can you just imagine when she turns 15.
Yikes!! It is all up to him.
I had to come up with a recipe that you would take on a picnic. I remembered this one was a favorite. It is so rich that you can't eat more than one piece. (Well most people-but I can eat more; just because it is so good).
Here is the recipe if anyone wants to try it and can't read it.
Strawberry Soda Pop Cake
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups boiling water
1 1/2 cups milk
1 (6 ounce) package strawberry flavored gelatin
1 (18.25 ounce) package white cake mix
1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 (5 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix 16 fluid ounces strawberry flavored carbonated beverage
Instructions
1. Prepare cake according to package instructions for a 9x13 inch pan. remove from oven and poke holes in the cake with a wooden skewer or toothpick.
2. In a medium bowl, combine boiling water with strawberry gelatin. Stir until dissolved and allow to cool slightly. Pour in the strawberry flavored carbonated beverage. Pour slowly over cake, allowing it to soak in. Refrigerate until cool.
3. To make the Frosting: In a medium bowl combine pudding and milk. Beat until well blended and thickened. Fold in the thawed whipped topping. Spread on cake. Refrigerate for several hours before serving.
Thanks and have a great week.

Interesting little link!
What Cindy Means You are very open. You communicate well, and you connect with other people easily. You are a naturally creative person. Ideas just flow from your mind. A true chameleon, you are many things at different points in your life. You are very adaptable. You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing. You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long. You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start. You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people. You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts. You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals. You are balanced, orderly, and organized. You like your ducks in a row. You are powerful and competent, especially in the workplace. People can see you as stubborn and headstrong. You definitely have a dominant personality. You are a free spirit, and you resent anyone who tries to fence you in. You are unpredictable, adventurous, and always a little surprising. You may miss out by not settling down, but you're too busy having fun to care. |
